THE WHITEHOUSE WALKER - First awarded in 1941. It was donated to DOTC by Mrs. Helene
Whitehouse Walker and her Obedience Test Club. Mrs. Walker, who
was the founder of AKC Obedience, judged our Trial that year.
This trophy is presented annually to the team that wins first
place in the most advanced class at the End of Year Match. (4

THE MONSTER - First awarded in 1942. There is no documentation nor does
anyone seem to know who donated it to the club. Although the
trophy is inscribed "Most Obedient Dog," it is now presented as
an all around good sportsmanship award to the club member whose
contributions and accomplishments have been outstanding. (2

THE GRETCHEN MEMORIAL - Given in 1950 by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Chubb in honor of their
Doberman Pinscher, Gretchen. It is awarded to the team who
started Basic within the last 14 months and has made the most
progress. The handler must have never trained a dog before. (3

THE GATSBY MEMORIAL
- Given in 1978 by Bob Fowler and Fay Gross in honor of her
Cairn Terrier, Gatsby, CD, TD. It is awarded to the tracking
team that has made the most progress during the current year. (6

THE JESSIE MEMORIAL
- Given in 1984 by Pat Conway in honor or her dog, Jessie. It
is awarded to a mixed breed dog (any dog without papers or an
ILP number) and handler team who have the highest score in

THE DOYLE MEMORIAL
- Given in 1997 by Bob Doyle in memory of his wife, Marilyn. It
is awarded to the highest scoring team in Veterans Class at the
